The shift from Flash to HTML5. For years, Flash has ruled mobile content delivery arena. But it’s high time that content designers shunned the legacy approach and embraced HTML5 – the smarter and faster way to render engaging content such as animations and videos to a whole range of mobile devices.

HTML5 output. After creating the course, you can output it to HTML5 which will be seen on any tablet/smartphone – but its power is with tablets. As HTML5 develops with its capabilities, so well the possibilities with the output. That said, if your system does not enable HTML5, the browser will switch to Flash.

FT- Another product I liked in 2012 and still like in 2013. Toss in collaboration, gamification and most importantly, fun to use. 15 Articulate Studio 09 - Until I see what 2013 can do (and it is about to be in beta), Studio sits at number 15. 1st vendor IMO to truly have HTML5 output. Oh, HTML5 output too.

It was ActiveSWF, a software development kit to programmatically create Flash files. In just a year, we launched FlashSpring, a PowerPoint add-in which converted PowerPoint presentations to Flash. We kept upgrading the product, and by 2007 it had become the world’s best PowerPoint-to-Flash converter.
