Fast forward to the early 2000s, and a US government-sponsored group, the ADL Initiative, took the best of AICC, added some much-needed changes, and SCORM 1.0 What does xAPI (course standard) mean when a vendor says it? xAPI originated around 2013 from a working group sponsored by ADL and led by Rustici.

On day one of our series, we learned that AICC (Aviation Industry Computer-Based-Training Committee) can be considered the first eLearning standard, used to track how learners progress through course content. In my opinion, the main benefit is that AICC uses HTTP post requests, *Known as AICC-HACP* , to track data. in April 2015.

A couple of days ago, I wrote about the state of ADL and Rustici Software’s take on it. We wrapped a little bit of code and interface around our core product (SCORM Engine), labeled it SCORM Test Track, and shared it. ADL’s guiding hand. This money from ADL provided incentive, and ADL’s guidance provided direction.
