The data may be used to represent the notions of score, completion, and success, but the data model by itself doesn’t provide this meaning (see Information Model below). AICC – has all Five Pillars.

Or are you just confused by all the abbreviations like: SCORM, AICC, XAPI, and CMI5? If a course is SCORM compliant it can store almost everything: End result of a course (failed passed and end score). Score per Learning objective. An API is a technique that allows software to exchange information. Which pages are viewed.

Update June 2008 - added one free flash quiz tool based on a question I received. Here's guild member satisfaction ratings for tools in the test / quiz category. And, Quizmaker allows you to track your results with your standards based Learning Management System as Quizmaker output is SCORM and AICC compliant.

It makes it possible to track and collect a wide range of data about each employee’s learning experience and progress, such as offline learning, interactive learning, real-world performance, ebooks and white papers downloads, quiz scores, etc. But after the session, how does the company know if the training helped at all?

So I researched but quickly got lost in the minutia of details and acronyms -- AICC, CMI, SCO, XML, ECMAScript, manifest, packaging, and API. Many times the learning content contains a quiz as well.

These are found under the Quiz button by selecting Manage. If you do have an assessment, Manage Quiz is where you add and edit your questions. However, once you are on the Quiz Manager page, selecting the Reporting tab takes you to the publishing and reporting options for the course. More on the Manifest in a bit.
