Andragogy vs Pedagogy

Asked about why I used the word pedagogy instead of andragogy, I think it’s worth elaborating (since I already had in my reply ;) and sharing. So here’s my analysis of andragogy vs pedagogy. That’s apples and oranges. Thus, in the comparison between andragogy vs pedagogy, I come down on the side of pedagogy.

It took me some time to realise that a) I could also learn from my students, b) that I wasn't the font of all knowledge and c) that there were other, more effective techniques available than simply lecturing. But I had to do it, and in adopting this new style, I believe I became a more effective teacher. We teach as were were taught.
