Jesse saw a post where I pointed to slides from a recent presentation and he commented: A PPT slide deck is a horrible way to convey anything significant. How about a link to audio, or better yet something like an Articulate Presenter or Breeze presentation that combines the audio and the slide deck?

When you type or draw into the app, a timestamp corresponding to the recorded audio is added to the note. That note then becomes a link to play the audio recording from that point. It allows you to go back and listed to just a section of the audio from a meeting or lecture without listening to the entire recording.

In the context of e-Learning (back then it was just plain old CBT), this meant you had audio/video on the screen with timed text bullets. The learner could listen to the audio if her preferred style was auditory, OR read the text if her preferred style was visual. I always tune out the audio and read ahead.
