Surprises in E-Learning One of the biggest surprises, is that so many folks are unaware that e-learning was an umbrella term, as I noted in the History of the LMS post. Vendors use it to refer to online courses/content. On top of that, they misspell it – the term is e-learning.

Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. It’s bizarre really, when SaaS is red hot in every other e-learning segment and yet in RCAT, desktop still rules. SaaS – while desktop still rules, SaaS is slowly gaining converts. Vendor adoption is slow.
