So, what do I do if Im not doing that? Marketing: I write the fact sheets. Im not such an anal person, so this isnt my favorite thing in the world. To provide what the market is asking for? What is the market asking for? And Im really excited about the project Im working on. The website copy.

This hasnt gotten onto my radar before -- Im not sure if there are any state-funded online programs in Massachusetts. Within higher ed, Im sure well continue to see growth in online, but it is starting to plateau a bit. The K-12 market is pretty wide open though, so theres lots of opportunities for rapid growth there.

Im curious what other folks experiences has been. This was an important marketing point for them, which underscores the weight that an ID degree has in some circles. He told me that I had no business applying because my 5 years of education and training experience was totally irrelevant to instructional design.

I wrote about trying to build learning into work when youre just too busy doing work. This go-round, Im at the other end of things: in a much-needed lull between projects, taking a breather. Reading Im still in the midst of The Adult Learner by Malcolm Knowles et al. The last time I posted for this carnival (almost a year ago!)

My current business card says Im a "Manager of Instructional Design". After a few years, I got involved in an IT initiative (then it was called MIS) -- designing a new software application to support our call center business. And now Im here -- "Manager of Instructional Design." But at this point, Im here to stay.
