But what stops the system is the add-ons such as Motion – which enables on/off synch with a self-contained app and another add-on Luminosity Mentor Apps, which is cool but as noted – costs extra.

I identify the Big Dogs as SumTotal by Skillsoft (yes, that is the actual name), Cornerstone OnDemand, Saba, SucessFactors and Oracle Taleo (although, I ask myself who is using this and if you still are why?). These are vendors who have been around a long time, build share of the market and generally speaking had early name recognition which has helped them in build business. However, I will say this: I like what Saba is doing. Saba Learning. Small Business.

While I do not know who WD will focus on in the market, my belief is that it will be SuccessFactors (an easy win), Cornerstone (mixed results), Oracle (victory!), SAP (if they can’t win this one, they shouldn’t be in the game), SumTotal Learn (mixed results – and how important – unknown) and to a very lesser degree Saba. The Low Price Scale Box. Some of the solutions that use this model start at a low number of users.

Especially when people are in the field whether it is with consumers, at a job location, meeting with business clients, whatever. . Best of all, whether you are utilizing AR in education (I see this as a massive win for all students) or at a business location, you are no longer stuck with courses, even sims that are either boring, lack constant engagement or as we all know, turn off folks who frankly do not like e-learning. Costs and quality will vary. Low cost.
