I note this, because this post covers my new Learning Systems RFP Template , which includes the latest NexGen Tier 4 feature sets. Why one RFP instead of specific ones for LXP and LMS? This is far better than them receiving a 20 page RFP or 100 page RFP. BTW, you want the calendar feature. You choose.

Let’s face it – RFI/RFP documents sent over to learning system vendors are massive tomes that confuse, challenge and even baffle some vendors. Then you have RFP/RFIs that lack substance. The fact of the matter is nobody loves creating RFP/RFIs. They can be 25 pages. 50 pages, even 100 pages or more.

This ‘only a well known’ argument is similar to one I hear in regards to buying a system that doesn’t have any customers in XTZ, so therefore it can’t be good. Now, if you want employee learning only, and you go to a vendor who only does customer training, then the initial “use case” rejection (politely) is understandable. Considering the person pre-qualifying you, is not at the expert level of customer training, I found this extremely displeasing and unsettling.

Thus, you can be always assured that the best of the best will be on the platform, no more searching for months, reaching out to vendors who never respond (ours do), spending way too much time seeing if the system has what you need AND as a result blasting RFPs to vendors who won’t meet your needs and your budget! Couple of notes.

Integrate with web based e-mail calendars – Gmail and Hotmail. Custom domains (big increase in last few months). RFPs and Features. If you are going to do a RFP, remember the five golden rules: Should be no longer than 8 pages. Gamification (slowly growing). Widgets (slow growth). Course templates.
