So, when it comes to using Camtasia Studio, I sometimes like to go outside of the realm of traditional screen recording, plain title clips, or stock art found in the media Library and customize the look of my video with original artwork I create. Save the image as a PNG file. Add the slide image to the Camtasia Studio 8 Clip Bin.

If you’re looking for more video editing power, you can also use Camtasia. I’ll walk through this process in Snagit, but the workflow is very similar in Camtasia. To save a frame from your video recording , move the playhead to the frame you want to capture, and then click the PNG button. Set up your recording.

In the Save Window, select the desired location and then save your image as a PNG file. For Windows, Copy or Cut the Signature PNG file from a Windows Explorer window and navigate to C: > Program Files > TechSmith > Snagit > Stamps and Paste your PNG file. WINDOWS: Mac: 9. Tips for resizing images: Maintain aspect ratio (ex: 4:3) to avoid distorting your image (stretching or squishing). Keep those tips you picked up about resolution and resizing in mind as you photo crop as well. Tips for a good crop: The closer you crop, the smaller the image becomes. PNG vs JPG. If you are using a screenshot or a PNG image, it will default to have a transparent background. Step 5: Save your image as a PNG. If you don’t save your image as a PNG file it will default your background to white. You may have to play with the tolerance to get the right transparency level.
