I also like to make occasional visits to Google Labs and Adobe Labs to "keep up" with the tech tools they are working on and to test drive any beta versions available. When I do find interesting tools I will keep track of them using my Delicious account.

University professors (another form of SME) have their lectures video taped and freely downloadable via iTunesU. The technology of today makes SMEs eLearning developers. It may not make them DESIGNERS but they are developing. It may not make them DESIGNERS but they are developing. How do we deal with that?

I am not a programmer nor a developer, so my perspective is more from a trainer/learning manager’s point of view. Before beginning to develop mLearning on their own, they should keep in mind some technical considerations. So you know my perspective, since my start in e-learning I have always been both a designer and developer.
