Social Learning Communities It was interesting that ASTD DC / Todd Slater has created a Ning community. I expected it to be about how to use twitter as a knowledge worker. There was concern around skills that take time to develop. People end up staying home to be able to attend virtual events.

I spend a lot of time developing SharePoint options for a department, but colleagues are more likely to spend their 2.0 How does this apply to non-knowledge workers? I develop training for a call center. These workers are required to answer calls. For example, ditch diggers?from Or do we have enough tools for now?

In terms of finding people with experience on this, my first suggestion was using LinkedIn and particularly looking through LinkedIn Guide for Knowledge Workers , LinkedIn for Finding Expertise , and Searching for Expertise - LinkedIn Answers. Of course, there’s no easy answers here, but lots we can discuss and learn around this.
