When I spoke to numerous vendors on tablets, I kept hearing the same song, “we aren’t hearing it from our customers, OR we are looking in the future OR perhaps in 2012″ It was smartphones, you silly man. Vendors are adding more “comments&# and voting i.e. yes or no or thumbs up/thumbs down features.

More vendors enabling the use of APIs – i.e. people can create their own API and integrate them into the LMS/Learning Portal vendor’s system, this equally means you can create mashups too. So, why then would you not want to know the price – at least the street price, up front. I post daily.

When so many potential customers are seeing the advantages of open source, creating their own learning or VLE portals or seeing the value of various social media types and incorporating them into some type of social learning community, the “do nothing&# spin is well, a time warp into the past. Revenues across the board are up, profit margins are healthy and competition is on-going (always a good thing). Illogical – I often see systems that add features that seem as though they tossed a bunch of ideas on a wall and whatever stuck up there, went into their platform. The LMS market is strong. The Negatives.

Plateau LMS is a Talent Management System, made up of four modules. Plateau Learning. After logging into the system a pop up window appears with four option, under the title “How to Get the Most out of the Plateau TMS. You can click a check box, if you do not want the pop-up to appear the next time you log into the system.
