In the webinar, I brought up how LMS vendors were themselves perpetuating the myth of the bad things of social media (which is a necessary component of social learning), so, rather than identify the facts and data to potential clients who are concerned about social media and thus social learning, they instead do not include it in their system.

Anyway, these mini bytes of learning content, follows a similar approach: Maximum length of videos (if included) – five minutes. Word docs, one pagers in text, and similar – short and right to the point. One vendor is focused only on SaaS products including social media. E-Learning 24/7.

Social Media Solutions that have multiple APIs built in their system, basically they are a mashup in a sense. FourSquare – a social networking platform that intertwines the power of geolocation, other vendors in this space include Loopt. Elodexa – an e-learning document search engine and online viewer.

Can send course links via e-mail and even social media – seen in collaborative learning environments aka online authoring systems, some people call themselves training management systems – but the authoring tool is the key component. Next tier of features – growth is here and it is targeting the masses.

Import from Google docs. Under Add Media. Personally, dump this feature and offer some social media components right there on the screen. Again, with over 2,400 social media sites you can go beyond. I mean when was the last time you looked at a manual or even a game manual to see what to do? Under Slides.
