Samsung Galaxy S is expected to be the first real challenger to the iPad, it runs on Android OS, offers Flash 10.1 Again, the iPad runs with HTML5, not Flash nor Java. True, the other tablets and Samsung offer Flash 10.1 and Java, but they offer HTML5 too. Same issue occurred with Opera – used Flash and Java.

Right now I am doing a survey on authoring tools (more on this at the end of the post) and so far 100% of all respondents state that HTML5 output is required in an authoring tool. HTML5 templates. Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. Flash output – still red hot. In the latest podcast featuring Volkner Zimmerman who is on the executive board at IMC-AG, he explicitly states that HTML5 is necessary in any course output for mobile. It isn’t.
