The downside to training management products is the inability to upload any other 3rd party authoring tool or courses from an off the shelf vendor. Yeah, you can upload word docs, PPT, etc. Why would I want a SaaS solution over hosted on my own servers product? RFP reality – And no, Jeff Probst is not your host.

Innovation abounded and the push to focus on the “PPT to Flash&# angle continued to shine. iPod, mobile phones, YouTube, message boards, e-mail. Import and convert PPT to the web, add rich media. SAAS or hosted on your own servers. Some acquisitions, some goodbyes, but overall very strong. Create SD and HD movies.

This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. . In all the years I have attended and have known about ATD (formally ASTD), this year is by far the most in terms of e-learning vendors, especially those in the LMS space.

They fail to even clearly show their product, let alone present the product sans the standard PPT intro that comes with “learn more” about the solution. At one time, even requiring your e-mail address, resulted in them calling you and not e-mailing you. Talk, Talk (and no, not the band ). Combination.
