PowerPoint – Ability to integrate or use PPT in your courses. Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. Data shows that people tend to “read others posts” and information and not post themselves. It isn’t. Disgusting. .

Manage your account – Review your information, change password, profile details. Each PowerPoint slide appears in order, following your PPT order. For example: your first PPT slide is on the timeline then you add a word document, next an image file, another slide (your 2nd one in the deck u uploaded), then audio/movie and so on.

This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. . In all the years I have attended and have known about ATD (formally ASTD), this year is by far the most in terms of e-learning vendors, especially those in the LMS space.

Innovation abounded and the push to focus on the “PPT to Flash&# angle continued to shine. iPod, mobile phones, YouTube, message boards, e-mail. Import and convert PPT to the web, add rich media. In 2010, the RCAT market continued its upswing and nothing indicates to me it will be changing anytime soon. Supports HD h.264

The downside to training management products is the inability to upload any other 3rd party authoring tool or courses from an off the shelf vendor. Yeah, you can upload word docs, PPT, etc. Lots of information now exists on the net regarding systems. – but not a course from say Articulate or any of the other tools.

What I found was an extensive group of people hungry for anything e-learning. They were hungry to know more information. Hungry to learn as much as they could and hungry to see what was in the space. My sense of it all, was that regardless of the location the buzz is all e-learning. Yeah, people love it.

Resources – docs, video/audio files, podcasts, PPT, etc. COD informed me that the library could contain links, but I was unable to verify if they would work because I was in a demo site. Courses under subject headers – example “accounting” Courses can be online or ILT or both. Announcements or posts in general.
