I include Learning Portals, LCMSs, as part of the mix. E-commerce is standard, multi-tenet off the main system, with each distributor/wholesaler/reseller/sales agent, etc. Rather, they expect and receive, the same 100% independent, fair and unbiased approach, with no slant as any other product or provider receives on this site.

The LMS/LCMS/Learning Portal market continues to be strong. In my latest directory, 393 LMS vendors – global, of which 34 or so are open source systems. In a market this size, and with so many vendors overly focused on the U.S. Folding up shop for good – goodbye and nice knowing you. It was a myth.

You could count on your hand the number of vendors even looking at it, and I’m not just talking LMSs/Learning Portals, but content authoring tools and other products. I recall speaking in November on a webinar panel and being somewhat chided over the fact that I kept repeating the importance of mobile learning and tablets.
