You can buy a big system that does all (like Blackboard, Sumtotal, Saba, Cornerstone on demand, et cetera) or you can go for a bunch of specialized tools that will beat that big solution on every specialty. Be careful of Vendor lock in. You have the risk for a vendor lock in with almost all LMS (Learning Management Systems).

It was an exciting first day, with lots of vendors hitting the entire training spectrum. You add your content, drag and drop, add video, images, etc. Here are my favorites: Numerous vendors were unhappy that they had to pay $700 a day for Wi-Fi, that didn’t work most of the time or was slow. Leapfactor. Smart move.

That said, there were some hiccups and from an entire vendor wise (expo here) angle, some unique and some, uh. This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. . I see way too many vendors think a web site is all they need and people will find them.

They involved talent management, “hello and goodbye” with vendors, social learning, upswing in mobile learning, new feature sets in the authoring tool space, flat lining in web conferencing and standalone platforms. Expect a few commercial vendors to jump into the augmented reality space for e-learning.

So, P2P hits mainstream, okay, quite a few vendors. files, images, etc.) Oh, I should add that this capability from the learner side would include images, photos and files. I see some vendors including a note or comment capability to the content curation, especially with the mobile video. from other folks in the system.
