Find the Right E-Learning Vendor with an Awesome RFP. If so, you might think about developing an eLearning RFP (Request for Proposal). I note this, because this post covers my new Learning Systems RFP Template , which includes the latest NexGen Tier 4 feature sets. Why one RFP instead of specific ones for LXP and LMS? This is far better than them receiving a 20 page RFP or 100 page RFP. Create your own library of skills, including definitions.

One item, that people who are looking for a learning system often perceive is that the RFP will be the key deciding factor on selecting or at least narrowing down their list for a learning system. The IT folks involved in the RFP is another monster. Oh, and they hosted on-site as I recall, but I digress.

For those folks under the age of 35, a library is a place where one goes to find this ancient things known as books. Growing up, the only place to find and read books, magazines was to go to the library. Everything you needed – fiction, non-fiction, kids section, reference books and materials was at the library.

I had each of these fine items on a web site I built in 1994. Bonus – FindAnLMS now has a mini-RFP component. That’s right, if you are interested in a learning system, and wish to submit a scaled down RFP, now you can. Mini-RFP within FindAnLMS, changes that. Yes, Mosiac was the browser. IE did not exist.

Another vendor calls their system nearly every keyword for SEO purposes (you can see it on their web site). However, talent development – opportunities, career mapping, content tied to job roles (as a key piece) with a full skills library and job role for that matter would be. They call it something else.
