TechSmith Fuse is a mobile app that can send photos and videos from your phone or tablet directly into Snagit , Camtasia , or TechSmith Relay. Although Fuse connects to Snagit, Camtasia, and TechSmith Relay, let’s use Snagit as our example. Sending content from your mobile device and watching it pop up in Snagit is pretty cool.

Regardless of your situation, this type of functionality can be helpful, especially when you need to copy information from a file folder or screenshot of a website that typically would require you to spend a significant amount of time retyping all of the text. With Snagit , it only takes a few steps to quickly grab text from an image.

You can then make your room tour video available on your class website. TechSmith Snagit. In order to use your video, we need to get it from your mobile phone and into Snagit. Download and install a free trial of Snagit. In Snagit, click on File → Connect a Mobile Device. Your video is now in Snagit.

I use a combination of our school’s learning management system (LMS) but often use external websites such as Polldaddy , Todaysmeet , Padlet , or Voicethread just to make things more interesting and add variety. I regularly use both Camtasia and Snagit and love the ability to embed questions directly into the videos made with Camtasia.

However, the title will show up as a tool tip when someone browsing your website hovers over the image. Because of the guidelines for keeping alternative text relatively brief, for images with markup and text like what you might create in Snagit, I suggest using the caption or surrounding text to describe the relevant markup and text.

Tools like Snagit are great for basic screen recording, while more advanced tools like Camtasia even offer helpful video templates to make creating a walkthrough that much easier. Snagit can help!
