I often ask my parents what college — and, therefore, learning — was like before the Internet came to be. Because when I enrolled at Indiana University in 2005, the Internet ran the show. Nowadays, relying on an Internet feed on my clunky laptop to facilitate and implement learning would be considered “so 2005.”

Identifies SCORM version/edition (may be multiple), AICC (if applicable) or PENS (if applicable): PENS was created by AICC in 2005, but a few vendors are starting to utilize it this year. A few vendors have this area filled in, might be regarding their site, greater details about their product or features. E-Learning 24/7.

Im still working on that but maybe next week while I am at I/ITSEC, Ill wander the expo floor and ask some of the e-learning vendors what their plans are to help their clients move toward an Enterprise 2.0 So what right? stance with regard to their systems and developments such as OpenSocial and UWA.

no SCORM, AICC or PENS – however, I am now seeing a few vendors offer PENS (created by AICC back in 2005, but slowly gaining traction). There are quite a few vendors in this space, but IMO the best one is dominKnow’s Claro. Non compliant – i.e Peer review.

It isn’t, but there are a few vendors starting to add it to their interoperability standards and yes a few LMS vendors too. PENS was created in 2005 by AICC as a new interoperability standard. In my directory, I found 3 RCAT vendors who list on their site that they accepted this standard. E-Learning 24/7.
