Lots of vendor booths. One vendor told me it was 296, another said, 260. I did see one vendor who bought a booth and never showed up (G-Cube). Vendors who were in certain sections (I counted Seven sections), seemed to have more humans than say others. Regardless, there were a lot.

Yes there are vendors doing some new stuff, okay many, but a few items are not new, rather they have been around for a long time. SaaS boost – Finally more vendors are on the appropriate path for their consumers; but the big folks are not – why? There I said it and honestly I can’t believe I said it. Want a stunner?

If you are an e-learning vendor in the higher education space and doing or planning on doing business in Europe, this is the place to be. There was a very good amount of vendors at the show. Authoring Tool vendors – okay TechSmith and a couple of ones that were not really asynchronous based authoring tools. .

Some vendors have included performance reviews. Making their system easier to use for all learners, including ADA 508 compliance (which many do not have), possibly PENS which is a great benefit to admins (on a side note), Safe Harbor certified for Europe (again, many are not), boosting mobile capabilities. As noted it is on the uptick.

You can disagree and that is fine, and I’m sure some vendors will, but this is my take. I’m not saying that LMS vendors overwhelm people on the admin side, I’m just saying they tend to offer more feature capabilities than a learning platform. ” Predictive Analysis is seen so far only in LMS vendors.

While I am sure that occurred at WOLC, the ones I gazed at, which were presented by vendors, had no sales pitch whatsoever, rather it was all about a specific subject tied to e-learning. I know a few vendors who had multiple meetings each day with potential clients – and the ones I am referring to where LMS vendors.
