IEEE LTSC xAPI TAG A-OK

Shelly Blake-Plock announced last night via LinkedIn that he would be leading a Technical Advisory Group (TAG) for IEEE LTSC (Learning Technologies Standards Committee). This is good news, as Shelly is going to carry a real load in leading that group. IEEE stamping xAPI would encourage adoption, particularly outside of the US.

As these efforts continue, likely so will standards implementations, so it’s a good idea to track the developments of the IEEE LTSC group. I’m also part of the cmi5 working group and serve as a IEEE committee officer, so we’re always staying up to date with what’s happening in the eLearning standards world.
