The supported image formats are GIF, JEPG, PNG. We can capturescreen recordings in all three tools but High Definition output is provided by Adobe Captivate 9; Lectora also supports high definition output, with plugins (software) such as Camtasia and Snagit. All are compatible with SCORM, AICC standards, and Tin Can API.

You can import content from a variety of formats, including image formats (PSD, GIF, JPEG, PNG, BMP, ICO, EMF, WMF and POT), sound formats (MP3 and WAV), and popular animation and video formats (SWF, FLV with metatags, AVI, and MOV). Do I need to do anything to activate the software? You don’t have to do anything to activate.

In 2005, PENS was launched by AICC but did not initially gain wide acceptance. Don’t get caught up in “examples” you see online as these rarely tell you what you and your team can realistically do with any given software and in many cases you could do better or sometimes you don’t have the resources to do quite that.
