So, why can’t we do it with all the authoring tools on the market? Why are some vendors making it impossible? Why are some vendors treating you as a spy or something sinister when you just want to try out the product? What I am finding more disturbing are the number of vendors who are not posting their pricing online.

IMO this is not an authoring tool, although I’m sure you can spin it that way if you want to. When talking to some of the folks at the booth, they said that there are discussions around the authoring tool and how it will play with the Litmos system, but nothing is defined.
