Well back to another expo conference installment – this time it is DevLearn Day 1. Excluding the obvious authoring tools and some LMS vendors, I found these themes with numerous vendors attending the expo: Remediation – as in our product increases retention better than a LMS. Blame it on the LMS.

From products that ranged from the latest versions of RCATs to new vendors in the space, including text to speech. . Who in their right mind, would use these tools? I was enthralled.

On the vendor side, nice set to select from although on the freebie side – always is lame. Vendor Angle. A must for any e-learning vendor. Great traffic and strong showing among vendors. .

Best of the Best: Content Authoring Tools

Again, not every tool below is SaaS based, but at some point, you have to move to the SaaS world, especially if you are offering or saying you do – some type of mobile learning functionality. I’ve seen some authoring tools that fit most of the criteria above, but whose ease of use is substandard or even really bad.
