There are some good ones out there, and from a learning system standpoint some vendors in the B2B/B2C market are adding this capability. One e-learning vendor who has as part of their assessment solutions has an online proctoring component is Questionmark.

Questionmark has an iPad and iPhone app, but for whatever reason, if you type in “quiz&# or “assessment&# , they do not show up. Nor even when I typed in “elearning or e-learning&#. If you are a LMS vendor – business, unless your target market is education/academia – then education.

While there were some things that made me think, uh oh, for the most part it has potential – especially in the education/academia space – for the online components, not ILT. Content authoring tool vendors equally not over abundent (Rapid Intake, Allen Communications, Articulate, Adobe were there among a few others).

I love Questionmark, its a wonderful product and it can use a “connector” to integrate into your learning platform or system. I know of educators who have said that because it is timed, there is no way someone could view their notes, etc. Yes, it has a mobile component too. and still complete the test. I disagree.
