I admit that in general I have been underwhelmed in the past with Saba. So, when I went and checked out Saba Social, Saba’s new social learning platform, I had very low expectations. My Learning – identified the popular courses – solid. I was surprised. They finally figured it out. Bottom Line.

CBT Prior to online learning known then as WBT, and then the latter term of e-learning (vendors today, use it to refer to content that is online), there was CBT. CBT was the “new” and exciting way to learn. The vendor had partnerships with off-the-shelf providers. WBT (Web-Based Training).

Every E-Learning vendor should want your business and treat you as they would want to be treated. Every LMS vendor should have a standard regarding response times, when they receive an inquiry via the internet. I know of one vendor who responds within 30 minutes of receiving an inquiry. I believe that. Very cool.

I’m sure the people who had purchased Plateau or even SuccessFactors Learning system were delighted to hear the news. What about other companies out there in the HCM space, will they be seeking to acquire LMS vendors with such a goal in mind?
