Next week, 12-12-12, will be #10 to #1 learning management systems for 2012. While their UI is very user friendly, they really haven’t done much in terms of new cool features in 2012. Now in 2012, they overhauled that UI, added some very forward thinking features including digital signatures and are now on the rise.

The number of vendors who went mobile with tablets at the start of the year was extremely small compared to where it stands at the end of 2012. Built in SEO (search engine optimization), e-mail marketing, marketing tools, CRMs (customer relationship mgt – used for sales). My Forecasts for 2012. A win in my book.

Kinect technology and gesture free will equally make an appearance in 2012. I am projecting that the number of vendors who enter this space to start slow, but gain steam – at least with some aspect, by the end of 2012. This is my major hot trend for 2012. Based on what I am seeing, 2012 is going to be the best yet.

Since my Top 10 list of LMS vendors has been posted online, I have received quite a bit of e-mail wondering why the biggest names: Cornerstone On Demand, Saba, SumTotal and SuccessFactors are not on the list. But can you tell me it is a better made product than BMW, which has less sales than Honda? 2012 Lists. I know I do.
