That LMS was from SumTotal, and they also wanted to sell their authoring solution as well. This authoring tool was Toolbook, and I believe it was version 9. I’ve not actively used Toolbook in many years. A year or two later, the company I worked for purchased a new LMS. I presently use the current release of Captivate.

What you get is the “smartphone&# version, which really fails to offer the power of tablets and those capabilities.

What I can say is that CMI-5 expresses learner activity using xAPI, which gives systems a consistent way to express the things people do. I didn’t get to see the mobile piece, but I surmise it will be similar in many ways to MCs version which was always slick. Each time some action sequence is to occur, that sequence/challenge is a learning activity. Thus, you have a version for a smartphone and another for a tablet. Who are they going to land quickly?

I love their playlists capability and their coach/share module is wonderful (it is part of the Enterprise system version), but you can also purchase it as a standalone if you say, buy just the base version and not enterprise. While the system has a built-in LRS it is not activate (again, why?). Marketplace is good too.
