Have you ever visited the Preferences dialog box in Adobe Captivate (Windows users, Edit > Preferences ; Mac users,  Adobe Captivate > Preferences ), made several changes and later, maybe months later, needed those settings on another computer running Captivate? In the SWF Size and Quality area, I set the quality to Medium.

Last year, using the same programs (slightly older versions), and processes, I published these packages as swf files, and the audio played without any issues. You are probably aware of the fact that Text animations are SWF-based and cannot be used for HTML5 output. Did I use audio? Here is a screenshot of the timeline panel: Audio. I inserted it as looping background audio, and muted that background audio on all slides except this typing text slide.

Tap into the audio path into the brain by replacing large blocks of onscreen text with voiceover narration. Publish them in HTML5 rather than swf output. That is the task.

For SWF output you had the choice: it was possible to change the default setting which was to have a movie playing automatically after loading. Mostly I duplicate a slide from the project to create such a poster image, Duplicate because it may need some editing, especially if you also want to have a better looking Play arrow.

That allows you to add overlay content slides, KC slides and can also be combined in a cptx project with other content slides. I think about merging with 360 slides, real quiz slides, adding links to other assets etc. For the interactive video slides it is possible to create a menu for easy navigation.
