Text to Speech is an easy-to-use utility that will instantly convert written text into audio files. All you have to do is type a slide note, select the note, click a check box, click the Text-to-Speech button, select a "speech agent," and click Generate Audio.

I am attempting to modify a lesson produced in Captivate 9 that works fine but now I need to add audio. I don’t want the “Next” button to appear until the audio is finished. However, on any other slide, I can’t get the Next button to appear at all after expanding the timeline to make room for the audio.

Replacing a draft audio file in a Video Demo can be a pain, but for software sims it is much easier to split the recording of the video part and the recording of the slide audio clips. Audio clips can be added and synchronized later on, need not to be done during the ‘video’ part of the capture.
