The EXE publish option is back. Adobe has announced a free update to its popular Adobe Captivate 8 software. The update fixes several bugs and includes some nice enhancements. To get the update, choose Help > Updates from within the Captivate program. Once the update is installed, your new Captivate version will be 188.8.131.52. Here's a partial list of what's new in the update: Responsive drag-and-drop interactions. Google Maps enabled geo-location support.

I had downloaded ExE some time ago and always thought it would be worth looking at later. I now know how long my students spend on the crossword, brilliant, well done the ExE team for a robust and very promising package, I can recommend it and will definitely be making use of in the future

Once added to an Aggregator project, you can publish the combined files as a SWF, EXE file, PDF or HTML. by Kevin Siegel. In an ideal world, your Captivate projects would be kept to a respectable number of slides (fewer than approximately 100). Larger projects will take longer to produce, longer to publish, longer for learners to download and, most importantly, longer to complete.

These can then be deployed as a simple web offering or as a SCORM object, although in many cases you'll want to integrate the activity into a larger piece of work you are creating in another authoring tool - they provide instructions for Articulate Presenter , eXe and CourseGenie , although I'm sure it can be made to work in many other tools too - perhaps event the Rocket Course Builder :-).

Under "Archived Versions" section, click on Flash Player 10 link and download the zip file containing all the Flash Player 10 exes. exe to install Flash Player ActiveX. exe to install Flash Player ActiveX once again. After upgrading to Flash Player 10.1, you may notice that imported Powerpoint images and SWF animations appear smaller in the Edit area and Storyboard. The issue does not affect published content.

Although there is an open source option in eXe , it's fair to say that this is more directed at educational users than corporates. I've been taking a look at an early version of RapideL's new online e-learning authoring tool, which they are calling RapideL-i. I've previously experimented with their desktop tool, RapideL Enhance, which works with Microsoft Word to generate Flash-based courses, but this is a big step forward.
