As 2012 draws to a close, its time to evaluate how in focus my lens on the future of enterprise mobile learning proved to be this past year and how many of my year ago predictions hit their targets. Whatever it is, this one is music to my ears after many years of toiling away to make mLearning a reality for the enterprise.

Outstart, who purchased Hot Lava, a mobile learning company, and who advertises in large size on their web site about mobile learning, doesn’t have an app. Yes, they have an app. Blackboard Learn? Yes, an app. That’s it. Productivity?

In my opinion, this was the biggest news of 2009 for everyone involved in the enterprise mlearning space. In addition, longtime mobile learning tool provider Hot Lava Software was purchased by LCMS platform provider Outstart and interest in their combined offerings was well received. As they say, the rising tide lifts all ships.
