Tony Karrer

Tony Karrer

What is to Come in 2008

The Learning Circuits

The CoP companies we talk with tell us that their businesses are booming (Tomoye and Mzinga being two which focus heavily in this space). As I read the blog I'd like to post a few updates on our research and predictions for e-learning in 2008. Social Networking is hitting the corporate scene, driving tremendous demand for informal learning, or what we call "learning on-demand." The solutions organizations are looking for include blogs, wikis, and communities of practice.

Learning Management Systems that kick ass: Generation21

The third track is the approach where the LMS trails another app, as in Mzinga. The first relates to how unstructured social media fit in the structured business world. This post is part of the Friday series "LMSs that kick ass.&# I'll be highlighting one Learning Management System (LMS) every Friday. This week it’s Generation21 (Gen21). I spoke with John Stearns from Gen21 about the social media tools and technologies his organization is incorporating into their LMS.
