Without further adieu, Talent Management/Performance Management (TM/PM). Three months ago, only a few systems had either integrated for no additional charge or for additional fees, a talent management/performance management feature set. What is nice is there are still a significant number of vendors who have not added it.

A free learning management system hits the ranks. The system was created specifically for business, which in of itself makes it unique. Big wins: support for tablets and thus mobile learning, home dashboard for end users, nice social learning – I love the expert locator and doable performance mgt (for people who want that).

In the case of a well known LMS vendor for example, their system came up on Avant, but when I went to play a course, their course player screen failed to work effectively and the course window did not look as it should, in comparison to some of the other better known browsers. Yet, Avant supported Flash and Java. Then and Now.

What is true is that you can view the courses you have created on any mobile device that supports HTML5 including the iPad series. . Utilizes a self-contained native app which the vendor will create for a mobile device, ideally a tablet (for right now it will be the iPad series, since they know it will work with iOS devices).

Tech Support and Service – may or may not be included – always ask. Many vendors’ sites do not state this information in their pricing. I know of one system that offers 360 feedback and performance reviews. . Some 50K or more systems could learn from the top low cost systems on some things.

How many of you have had hundreds of comments as a result of these questions, and than rather than solve it, create only more confusion? How many of you have seen vendors respond to your questions?
