To me this is a very important question because it goes beyond, “what is nice” to what is “necessary” Mobile Learning – 68.5%. Peer Review, Chat, Collaborative Learning – 68.5%. Social Learning – 57.1%. ILT/Classroom mgt – 48.5%. E-commerce – 14.2%.

I’ll be the first to admit, that I was not a big fan of the previous versions of the Plateau system. ILT component (for those who still offer ILT). A major, major improvement from previous versions, but I digress. Social learning is based on incorporating social media types (whatever you choose) and e-learning.

They do offer a higher education version, but this is all about K-12. This has always been a personal fav of mine, and its primary version K-6 is fantastic. Example of Primary: Active directory, assessment tool, social learning features and SCORM are all bonuses. Learning activities. E-Reader platform.

Collaborative Learning Environment – Share building of courses in real time, albeit, not two at the same time, so no desktop sharing in that regard. Social Learning Content Authoring Tool. Game based learning. Many vendors hyping PowerPoint to Flash angle as key feature. SCORM compliant.

have relied on COPs (Communities of Practice) along with ILT to drive their training. Equally horrible, is that some companies are still using old versions of IE or an outdated computer system with Windows 2000 on it. Will the vendors support the new versions of all the browsers? Social Learning.

They involved talent management, “hello and goodbye” with vendors, social learning, upswing in mobile learning, new feature sets in the authoring tool space, flat lining in web conferencing and standalone platforms. LMSs/LCMS/CMS/learning platforms in commercial and open space continued their presence.
