Terminology – The use of ILT (Presentation, Slides, Trainer, Trainees). While this makes sense if the archive is an older version and you are updating it, it seems an extra step, if you pulled the course because of whatever reason and it wasn’t because there is a new version online. I can honestly say, the ATD show is changing from ILT driven (it has always been that way) to e-learning improvement. This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. . Vendors of Intrigue. E-Learning that is.

To me this is a very important question because it goes beyond, “what is nice” to what is “necessary” Mobile Learning – 68.5%. Peer Review, Chat, Collaborative Learning – 68.5%. Social Learning – 57.1%. ILT/Classroom mgt – 48.5%. E-commerce – 14.2%. Other 8.5%.

Now, if this is a WBT, why would you want to see the person’s name on the course and e-mail address? Unless you planned to use the course in the classroom, which in this case, it would be an ILT course. Trainers love it, but this is WBT – “e-learning&# , not “classroom/seminar training&#.

who said a few years ago that e-learning was a fad. . Look, HCMs are hitting the space, but these are not robust human capital management systems – they are as one HR executive told me, “a soft” version of a true HCM. . E-Learning 24/7. Nor can I tell you the number of publications,sites, etc.

I’ll be the first to admit, that I was not a big fan of the previous versions of the Plateau system. ILT component (for those who still offer ILT). A major, major improvement from previous versions, but I digress. E-Learning 24/7. Plateau LMS is a Talent Management System, made up of four modules.

They do offer a higher education version, but this is all about K-12. This has always been a personal fav of mine, and its primary version K-6 is fantastic. Example of Primary: Active directory, assessment tool, social learning features and SCORM are all bonuses. The K-12 version is a real screamer, and I say it in a good way.
