What always stuns me are vendors who state they know what their learners want, but in reality have no clue, because they themselves do not see the technology and its usage among the masses. To hold photos, images, media files – eventually moved to word docs. Online Storage i.e online hard drives. Collaboration.

As for the seminars, I admit I did not attend them, but I did see loads of folks listening to the bonus presentations on the show floor. Yeah many shows get folks to attend these bonus presentations, but at other shows they are often just a pitch and sell workshop under the guise of some topic. . To me that was impressive.

I have a real issue with vendors who charge extra – via a license with their “partner&# or otherwise for a web conferencing – and thus ability to offer webinars, in their solution. NCH ScreenStream - broadcast for presentations and webinars. It should be free – 100%. Meetings24.tv WebHuddle - very slick.

For whatever reason- okay to try to set themselves apart – some vendors have created the term “training management” Honestly, they could call it “online authoring system with a few reports and no frills” and it would be the same thing. Why do some vendors have trials and others do not? Demo Doomsday.

Nice selection of vendors – in general. More vendors showing off their products then in the past – still a couple believe that a poster board will do the trick. Wi-Fi worked a lot better, but vendors and end users still had issues inside the expo hall. I heard this happen to two vendors.
