Till some time ago, Flash was the software of choice for creating videos and animations. Rapid updates in Flash made it prone to crash. Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, withdrew support to Flash in its iOS platforms in 2012, given the numerous malfunctions that happened due to it.

Although there have been debates on which content standard type is better between xAPI and SCORM , the choice is yours to make. It only requires that the instructor send a private invitation via email to their learners with personalized links for each learner. Utilize SCORM Cloud For xAPI Content.

It was designed for Flash. SCORM was originally intended for Flash-based courses, which aren’t a popular option now that support for Flash is fading. HTML5 courses can be created to SCORM standards, but it limits their functionality. I t’s very secure. What about xAPI? AICC strengths. Ease of use.

Is there a preference or reason for choosing xAPI, AICC, SCORM over the other? xAPI is the most forward-looking, but it has not been widely adopted just yet.

I’m excited, personally, by the evolution of affordable platforms for interactive video, and I think we’ll see it move from a novelty to something a bit more mainstream. HTML5 is in. We’ll witness the wholesale abandonment of technologies that deliver Flash-based outputs. What platforms will help us with that?
