Go to a mall and spend 30 minutes observing shopping patterns, merchandising schemes, etc. Often I have two small kids in tow or Im trying to check ten things off a list during my lunch hour. As I think about my own blog-reading habits, I see the same patterns. Im sure many of you are the same. Yeah right.

I havent signed up anywhere, I havent taken part in any of the sessions, but Im like a moth drawn to the flame: as I peer in on all the conversation beginning to happen, I cant help but join in. That said, Im a little concerned that the gamer mentality is sometimes presented as important to corporate culture and that as a result women should get into gaming. This seems to echo the stale pattern in which women adapt to a male-dominated business culture. I play geography games, but Im not a gamer. Which is correct?

Im a linear reader in recovery and have been actively learning how to skim books and not feel guilty about it. Although Im not in active instructional design mode for any projects right now, I did jot a bunch of ideas. those born between 1991-2000), Im a bit of an ape (no offense to apes, mind you). The pattern is a familiar one. Good stuff and Im definitely going to comment on your conferences post. I have been around distance education/elearning for awhile -- I cant believe its been 10 year since graduating from the ed tech masters program at San Diego State. Gather in a big room and be talked at for an hour or so.
