Time to reflect on the Commonwealth of Learning (CoL) workshop on Open Educational Resources, which was held in Windhoek, Namibia this week. Dr Stella Anthony (Australian Universities Network for Quality Assurance) gave the opening presentation for the event, and spoke about the opportunities and challenges of OERs in higher education.

I have to say right up front, the folks over at ASTD could learn a few things by seeing how they do things at OEB. Okay, three messages: Personalized learning for each learner. Ironically, did not see this with the VLPs (Video learning platforms). But I did hear mention of OER via attendees and a couple of vendors.
