The initial person who thought buying SumTotal was a great idea (initially it was) and then dumped it for a fortune to Skillsoft (another great idea), which in turn was someone at Skillsoft thinking this was a great idea, which turned out to be false and was a factor in Skillsoft going into bankruptcy due to the albatross known as SumTotal.

Course standards include xAPI and PENS, besides the standards of SCORM. . No, but then again, this is an issue with many course providers including Lynda.com and Skillsoft. . Playlists (they may call them something else) are straightforward, and not only can you see recommended content (a standard feature in an LXP), but also select playlists shown by topic of interest – via filters. They have the majority of the standards for an LXP, with a few nice wrinkles. mobile apps with on/off synch.

Course standards are course standards, and yes, you have the option to select CMI-5 and xAPI. What I am finding is that AICC is nearly gone in the LEP space (as it is with LMSs too), so if I was you, I’d seek SCORM, SCORM 1.2, The first three are standards that every LEP should have (so say YES on the template).
