Storyboarding is a technique to better draft modules and create online courses with ease and little effort. What is a storyboard? A storyboard is a sequence of panels in which an instructional designer lays out the framework of their course: What will be discussed in each section? Generally, a storyboard should specify the visual elements of every screen in an online course (text elements, audio elements, interactions and branching-where the system or user will go next).

The actual material for the course is developed using a storyboard (in the case of eLearning) or in documents and other media (for instructor-led training). Celtix - Enables you to create storyboards and scripts. elearning maker - another product form e-doceo; screenwriting, storyboards, media inserts, selection and moving of elements plus more; a beginner could use some of the features, but a developer has some additional capabilities and flexibilities. SCORM compliance and/or AICC – there are tools out there who support neither – but that is not the norm and there are a few tools out there who also support PENS.

Only a few support PENS, which is a shame, because it really does some very cool things. Why not include storyboards for those ID folks, e-learning developers and course builders who gain experience and knowledge and wish to go to the next step? Do you know how many ATs today have a storyboard feature built-into their product? Includes social and finally has done something – in the past it seemed stagnant.
