I’ll be the first to admit, that I was not a big fan of the previous versions of the Plateau system. After viewing the Plateau TMS, my concerns in one area have been eliminated, in others, not so much. Plateau LMS is a Talent Management System, made up of four modules. Plateau Learning. Plateau Performance.

CBT Prior to online learning known then as WBT, and then the latter term of e-learning (vendors today, use it to refer to content that is online), there was CBT. Prior to the whole online scene, you could access information via FTP sites known as Archie, Veronica and Jughead (yes, totally true. WBT (Web-Based Training). I used them).

Had three stovepipes: Health, Benefits and Memorial Affairs Created competencies, measurement, lots and lots of activities… Don’t have a brick and mortar…people go to training on their site (more convenient for student). MyCareer at VA – just rolled out this portal. Use Plateau SaaS model as the TMS. When do bring in sr.

I include Learning Portals, LCMSs, as part of the mix. Big Dog (Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, Cornerstone OnDemand, Learn.com). Please remember for TM or as some vendors like to pitch as “performance management or knowledge management&# , the modules are extra and are not part of the system (at least for now). Categories.

To view the specific system, click on the system’s name and it will take you to the site or if possible, directly to the information on the system. CMSs, learning portals geared only are not on the list. The market continues to grow it is nearly impossible to see every vendor’s latest solution. Vendors Reviewed.

You will not forget them when you view a demo, nor when you are looking at the company’s web site or literature. Extended Enterprise – aka Multi-Tenet, Portals-Sub Portals. What about a payment gateway – does the LMS vendor assist you with this or do you have to find your own? Specifics. What about EFT?

There is a growing list of vendors, including small/mid size that are adding talent management components that match the Big Dog systems. A couple of vendors have added HRIS modules. It is interesting to note, that many of the vendors are targeting the SMB space, especially the small size (less than 500 employees) market.
