Per Host – My number #1 vendor goes this route, but they and a few others push ultimate options with a minimum number of hosts and I’m not even talking Enterprise yet. There a few vendors who offer a lot more, but nobody is doing like 30 or 40 extensions at this point. Extensions/Connections – You say new trend.

LMS Vendors. I must admit I am still in a daze on some shocking data, I saw in the last few weeks (on a side note: the new and updated version of my LMS/LCMS directory will be available for download this upcoming Tuesday). 30% vendors offer at least one type of social media – from my latest LMS directory.

I have a real issue with vendors who charge extra – via a license with their “partner&# or otherwise for a web conferencing – and thus ability to offer webinars, in their solution. tv - free up to 24 users, limited features in the freebie version, other options available but are fee based. QuteCom - VOIP.

If the presenter is using VOIP, then audio is recorded during the presentation, because the audio is coming through the computer’s speakers. Most systems do not record the audio from attendees, even if they are using VOIP, but some do. Even in that case, again, some systems have an option that it is not recorded. Transcript Time.

What always stuns me are vendors who state they know what their learners want, but in reality have no clue, because they themselves do not see the technology and its usage among the masses. Free version offers 2GB of storage, paid version goes as high as 100GB. Online Storage i.e online hard drives.

Includes VOIP that I find crystal clear. They have partnerships with a few LMS vendors whereas you can purchase their courses via that LMS. I am aware of at least one vendor who includes five courses at no additional charge into their LMS. Best Custom Course Provider from an LMS Vendor. Uberconference. Unicorn Training.

They say its about: 5 Trends Converging (3G + Social Networking + Video + VoIP + Impressive Mobile Devices) The growth of mobile devices has been amazing. Add to this VOIP/Skype, 3G and what’s happening with video on demand. It’s a bit scary for people who are primarily content vendors.
