vs SCORM 2004 as it was newer. for a couple of years, and then a major new initiative resulted in SCORM 2004 1st edition, 2nd, 3rd, and finally 4th (it never took off in the industry, which is why if a vendor offers it, they use the 3rd edition ). Well, the opposite is true. quickly became 1.1 and then 1.2. It stuck at 1.2

CMSs were initially created and are often used for organizing and managing websites and web content, including documents, files, media, etc. 2004, but as a “web&# it won’t be tracked from the SCORM perspective, unless you locate a plugin or API that enables your CMS to be SCORM compliant – and well, good luck on that.

Part of the problem though is that there is a lot of information out there, some of it erroneous in nature and honestly, equally confusing. My job was to help author SCORM 2004, focusing on how to develop content that would work in SCORM systems. This work informed the conversations with several current and former ADL friends.
