My predictions for 2009: With the continued economic difficulties, e-learning will grow due to its cost efficiency, or at least its perceived cost efficiency. Finally, after too many training departments are downsized, we will read Kirkpatrick's 4 Levels of Evaluation , again!

The extent of my experience in evaluation has focused on applying Kirkpatricks model to classroom training and e-learning. Although there may be some elements of the model that lend itself to evaluating informal learning, I do not see the model as a whole working well for assessing the impact of informal learning. ► 2009. This will be helpful in connecting you to the people that will provide evaluation data. Have your SME help communicate the importance of the course. Is it effective?
