This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. . In all the years I have attended and have known about ATD (formally ASTD), this year is by far the most in terms of e-learning vendors, especially those in the LMS space.

I’ve also learned firsthand, how to make it work in any vertical and any industry. Learning Management Systems. Web conferencing. Mobile learning platforms. Social learning platforms. Yeah, you can upload word docs, PPT, etc. Why isn’t there a required standard for e-learning?

Many people today prefer 3rd party authoring tools and in fact, I recommend that route rather then using a vendor’s built in authoring tool. SCORM, AICC. Offers e-commerce module: Yes. Under course is a PPT 2010 QRC, yet under the categories section, you see “downloadable reference” Guess what?
